The Kiel lighthouse stands 4 nautic miles off the coast in the central Bay of Kiel as a guidance and orientation for the entrance to the Kiel Fjord. In addition it holds numerous measurment devices, like for weather, level gauge, radio activity and is a remote pilot location. It is one out of four lighthouses in Kiel.
